At Gammelbro Camping in the picturesque harbour town of Aarøsund, you can try your hand at the popular aquatic sport of Standup Paddleboarding (SUP). Inflatable boards that are ready for use can be rented here, accompanied by a swim jacket and paddle that can be adjusted in height. The campsite has 3 boards, which can be rented for a period of 2 hours for DKK 200.
Sail along the beautiful coastline and see the old seaside hotel in Aarøsund or the delightful island of Aarø from the water. Keep your eyes peeled whilst out on the water, as you might spot a porpoise. Experienced paddleboarders can make it a full day on the water by heading into Haderslev Fjord, a trip of some 15 km.
