Small camping site – big experience

On the outskirts of the harbour lies the small but well-functioning camping site facing a lovely sandy beach. Hou Strandcamping is un-manned – here is neither reception or shop, but polite and simple self-service. In exchange, you get modern and great facilities. The experience at Hou Strandcamping is peaceful and intimate. The nature and the ocean are right in your backyard – and inside the beams there is quiet.

Classic camping site centred around cosiness

Anyone with a camping trailer, auto camper or tent can stay at the site overnight. Furthermore, the site has got three lovely apartments at your disposal for rent.

The facilities have gotten a thorough brush-up and appear modern and inviting in light colours. In the service building you will find a new kitchen, new bath facilities and a new “living room” area.

Furthermore, there is a playground, multipitch and a jumping pillow where the youngest of the family can keep themselves busy.

And in the great barbecue pavilion you can enjoy your dinner in beautiful surroundings.

The site is placed right on the beach. At the camping site there is a wooden pier and the opportunity to play beach volley.

Close to the experiences of the area

From the site you only have to walk around 500 meters down the beach to reach the ferry and yachting marina in Hou. Here, you can enjoy a meal or a cold ice cream in the sun. There is also a supermarket, where you can get your grocery shopping done. From Hou there is ferries leaving for both Tunø and Samsø. In this way, there are great opportunities to explore the East Jutland archipelago with Hou Strandcamping as your base.

Quite close to the site is the public swimming pool, Vandhalla, which among other tings has got a 90 metes waterslide.

In short driving distance from Hou are the great attractions of East Jutland and exciting cultural cities like Horsens and Aarhus. Only a few kilometers from there, is Odder, which offers an exciting city center with lots of shops and places to eat.
